2025 Mike Newman Sectional Rankings: Week 4

This past week, the IHSA unveiled the assignments for the IHSA Sectionals, which left some people excited and others dreading where they were placed. The IHSA uses equal geographical representation for the State Meet and has done so since its inception. Here, we break down which sectionals are the most difficult in each classification and rank the top 10 teams in each. We will be dedicating this weekly series to Mike Newman who did this article series throughout his time covering the sport by naming the rankings after him.
