Carson Vittorio - Founder and Owner

Carson brings 8 year of experience with Milesplit IL to Illinois Running News. He started this media page as a junior in high school and after leaving Milesplit has decided to restart it. He wanted a means of a free platform for content in an industry that charges customers for certain content. Carson also coaches at Plainfield South high school.

Jackson Summy - Contributor

Jackson started as an intern with Illinois Running News during the Track & Field Season of 2025. He is a Freshman at Grand Valley State University and ran at Lakes High School in Lake Villa, Illinois. He is a All-State distance runner for the Eagles. In Summer of 2025 Jackson was hired as our 1A and 2A Distance Editor.

Noelan Tossing - Contributor

Noelan started as an intern with Illinois Running News during the Track & Field Season of 2025. He is a Senior at Deerfield High School. He will be doing photography, Videography, and Meet Coverage for Illinois Running News. In the Summer of 2025, Noelan was hired as a contributor for Illinois Running News.

Luis Flores - Contributor

Luis is an intern with Illinois Running News who started during the Track & Field Season of 2025. He is a Freshman at University of Illinois-Chicago and ran at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois where he is an all-state distance runner. He will be doing Graphic Design for Illinois Running News.

Kennedy Ruff - Intern

She is a Senior at Hinsdale South High School in Darien, Illinois where she is the 2024 State Runner-Up in the 300 hurdler. She will be doing photography and Meet Coverage for Illinois Running News. She wants to be involved in a career in athletics after she graduates college.
