Nationals Week Recap: Day 5 Key Results

We have finally completed our nearly week long of Nationals competition. On the final day, all eyes were on New Balance Outdoor Nationals. We saw some great All-American performances there, even an All-Time Illinois Record!

New Balance Outdoor Nationals-

• Kellen Maclin of Homewood-Flossmoor takes 10th in the Boys Championship Long Jump with a leap of 23-1.25

• Abraham Johnson of Westmont takes 2nd in the Boys Championship High Jump. This outdoor season is his first season doing the event. He had a 3 inch PR of 6-10.75.

• Matt Pluff of Freeburg takes 3rd in the Boys Championship High Jump with a jump over 6-9.5.

• Voldy Makabu of Champaign Centennial takes 10th in the Boys Championship High Jump with a jump over 6-7 .

• Patrick Hilby of Aurora Central Catholic is a national champion in the Boys Championship 800m in an All-Time Illinois Record of 1:47.55.

• Trey Sato of Grayslake Central takes 10th in the Boys Championship 800m with a time of 1:50.23.

• Ali Ince of Normal Community takes 3rd in the Girls Championship 800m with a time of 2:05.10.
