2026 XC Individual Rankings: Week 1

With the cross country season just getting underway, this week’s individual rankings feature relatively little movement, as most athletes have only had one opportunity to race. Still, there were a few big performances that were enough to shake things up near the top of the rankings. Several runners made early statements with strong opening races, while others showed that their preseason ranking may have been too low. With bigger invitationals beginning to fill the schedule over the next few weeks, expect the individual rankings to become much more fluid as athletes get more chances to prove themselves against top competition. For now, though, the early-season results are providing our first glimpse at which runners are ready to make a jump in 2026.
