2025 Cross Country Previews: 3A Girls Unranked

ree

While much of the spotlight in Illinois 3A cross country falls on the top 25 ranked teams, there are several programs flying just under the radar that deserve recognition. These squads may have missed the preseason rankings, but they return key pieces, bring in promising young talent, or are known for peaking when it counts. Whether rebuilding after graduation losses or quietly building momentum, these unranked teams have the potential to shake up the standings as the season unfolds. Keep an eye on them—they might not be underdogs for long.

O'Fallon

Coaches: Neil James / Megan Meckfessel

Last Year's Finish: 26th @ IHSA 3A State

Key Returners: Ellie Bush (Sr.), Mae Naveira (Jr.), Kayla Kalmer (Jr.), Autumn Gavin (Sr.), Gwen Wolf (So.), Alexia Donohue (So.), Campbell Plassman (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Lily McCollum (Fr.), Gwyn Cintron (Fr.)

Unexpected Losses: Madalyn Lane (Jr.)

Coach James' Outlook: We feel like we more depth this year than the past couple of years.  We also have a good blend of veteran and younger runners with each class represented in our top group.  We have had one of our most consistent summers, so we are looking forward to carrying that momentum into the season.  We return 11 of our top 14 runners from last season.

Chicago (Lincoln Park)

Coaches: Steohanie Dobrin and Ted Smith / Alec McCartney, Cole Martin

Last Year's Finish: 9th @ 3A Elk Grove Regional

Key Returners: Sohlai Yanez (So.), Sofia Mikhailova (So.), Haylie Tsuru (Jr.), Giselle Mohr (So.), Tsewang Lhamo (Jr.), Maddie Tsuru (Jr.)

Coach Smith's Outlook: We have had a strong summer of consistent running We have not gone too crazy with workouts but just steady summer running  We have competed in a few events and have achieved some incredible personal records over the summer    The breathing is more controlled, the form is stronger, the stamina is next level    I expect huge breakouts with the entire girls team this season  The girls have been putting in the effort and making things happen in order to get to the next level

Palos Hills (Stagg)

Coaches: Tricia Biel / Lisa Thyer, Jocelyn Wysocki

Last Year's Finish: 7th @ 3A Hinsdale Central Regional

Key Returners: Bridget Begley (Sr.), Stefanie Lipkie (Sr.), Ellie Olsen (Jr.), Mariam Mestou (Sr.), Rama Saada (Jr.), Pilar Pescetto (Sr.), Maggie Kurzeja (Sr.)

Coach Biel's Outlook: I think our varsity squad is going to see some big improvements. Everyone is working hard and they all encourage each other. We are family!

Roselle (Lake Park)

Coaches: Jay Ivory / David Haberman, Joey Pacione, Alberto Villa

Last Year's Finish: 13th @ 3A Lake Park Sectional

Key Returners: Ruth Dellaria (Jr.), Lillian Potts (Jr.), Vivienne Stojanovic (So.), Juliana Selvaggio (Sr.), Yana Zraychyk (Sr.), Rain Solano (So.)

Key Newcomers: Aubrey Haugh (Jr.)

Coach Ivory's Outlook: We are really excited about this season as we bring back 6 of our top 7 from last season.  By all accounts, we are ahead of where we were in past summers.  We should have the best team we have had in the past several years, but we will have to see if that is good enough to get us to state.  We return state qualifier, Ruth Dellaria, so we are looking to build around her.

Lisle (Benet Academy)

Coaches: Dan Billish / Lexi Gibson

Last Year's Finish: 11th @ IHSA 2A State

Key Returners: Keira Jenke (Sr.), Bridget Hasenauer (Sr.), Emma Greco (Sr.), Clare Bremner (So.), Lily Pervan (Jr.), Olivia Bracken (So.), Carly Ulepic (Jr.), Kaya Luciano (So.), Sophia Olivares (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Sara Luo (Sr.), Sarah Read (Fr.)

Coach Billish's Outlook: A little different from last year as we were awaiting a lot of girls coming back off of injury.  Outside of Keira Jenke, who is finding her form after her injury from state track, we are relatively healthy and should be able to jump into the season with a bit more of a predictable lineup.  We are in 3A this year, and similar to last year, we run a predominantly 3A schedule.  One of the goals is simply to build confidence throughout the season.  As we establish our lineup and acclimate girls to their new roles, we hope to do it in the most competitive way possible.  A conference championship and a state berth remain at the helm of our plans.

Burbank (Reavis)

Coaches: Laurie Schoenfeld / Joe O'Hara

Last Year's Finish: 17th @ 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional

Key Returners: Delyanna Arocho (Sr.), Jocelyn Martinez (Jr.), Heidy Solis (Jr.), Amanda Lechuga Rios (Sr.), Jazlin Munoz (Sr.), Melanie Lozano (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Itzel Ramirez (Jr.)

Coach Schoenfeld's Outlook: The Reavis Rams are looking for another conference team championship.  With the girls putting in the miles this summer, we hope to achieve this team goal.  We have a senior, Delyanna Arocho, who would love for the first person at Reavis to win back to back individual conference championship and qualify for the IHSA State meet again.  Got a great group of young ladies who are tough runners, and work hard.

Skokie (Niles West)

Coaches: Anne Heselton / Nikki Reynolds, Tony Konsewicz, Jason Macejak

Last Year's Finish: 18th @ 3A Lake Park Sectional

Key Returners: Bella Mohip (So.), Teresa Gattuso (Sr.), Bethany Afework (So.), Sheila Mehtarkhel (Sr.), Maise Parylak (Jr.), Alison Thannert (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Madison Andra (Fr.)

Coach Hesleton's Outlook: We had a very successful summer training camp with several freshmen in attendance. The team worked hard to develop and improve their stamina and speed endurance.  We have a younger squad so it will be fun to watch them develop as runners and a cohesive squad.

Rolling Meadows

Coaches: Chris Marks / Charlie Larson, Rachel Lezak

Last Year's Finish: 8th @ 3A Palatine Regional

Key Returners: Izzy Lee (Sr.), Lily Espino (So.), Jamilla Garcia (Sr.), Grace Lisy (Jr.), Lupe Nava-Perez (Sr.), Stella Butler (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Lily Newman (Fr.), Tess Bauer (Fr.), Grace Trunnell (Sr.)

Coach Marks' Outlook: Our team right now is a combination of senior leadership and young runners.  It has been a fun summer of watching the experienced runners mentor the incoming athletes. Lucy was a big loss both in terms of ability and leadership, but Izzy is ready to assume the role.  Stella Butler has emerged as a strong leader, and Lily Newman is ready to jump into the top 5 and improve our scores on day 1.  How we finish at the end of the year will be dependent on a number of 9th and 10th graders, so this will be an exciting season in which I expect to see us improve tremendously throughout the year.

Homewood-Flossmoor

Coaches: Hailey Baumstein / Larry Dawson

Last Year's Finish: 7th @ 3A Lockport Regional

Key Returners: Makayla Shulman (So.), Anika Izenbart (Sr.), Carrington Hughes (Jr.), Jerni Mahone (Jr.), Asha Maclin (So.)

Key Newcomers: Chase Foster (Fr.), Tiara Allen (Jr.), Amari Johnson (So.)

Unexpected Losses: Heaven Rouse (Sr.)

Coach Baumstein's Outlook: We're really excited to be led by Makayla Shulman. As our front runner, hopefully she can continue to pick up a lower and lower score. Throughout the summer, a chase pack has developed, including Anika Izenbart, Chase Foster, and Carrington Hughes (who is hoping to qualify for sectionals again). Our goal is for them to all break 20 minutes this season. Behind them, an emerging crew has developed and improved substantially from last summer including Jerni Mahone, Asha Maclin & Eryn Mason as well as new XC athletes Tiara Allen and Amari Johnson. The goal is for this pack to continue to improve and run as close to, and if not faster than, 22 minutes as possible.

Naperville (Neuqua Valley)

Coaches: Matt Johnson / Emma Maddelein

Last Year's Finish: 8th @ 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional

Key Returners: Addison Guskey (Jr.), Ariana Namvar (Jr.), Delaney Fastabend (Sr.), Valentina Namvar (Jr.), Charleigh Bratko (Jr.), Iris Li (Jr.), Emily Schiltz (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Anoki Raikar (Fr.), Grace Pour (Fr.), Maura McElhone (Fr.)

Coach Johnson's Outlook: We have had a great summer turnout from our returning athletes. We will start the season with a solid 1-4 but will be in search of a 5th runner a majority of the season. Look for Charleigh Bratko and Iris Li to have a breakout Junior season and fill the 5th spot early on. As the season progresses watch for Anoki Raikar and Grace Pour to challenge for the 5th spot. Last year's 8th place finish was heartbreaking, we lost our #2 runner early on in the season, and then the week of Sectionals had our #4 runner get an upper respiratory infection. The girls battled all the way to the end and were only 10 points off. We know in our hearts that we had a State Team last year and things just didn't go our way. This season we have the motivation and push to overcome that obstacle.

Wheaton North

Coaches: Peter Anderson / Amy Freeman, Anne-Marie Lemp, KC McQuaid

Last Year's Finish: 13th @ IHSA 3A State

Key Returners: Ema Eissler (Sr.), Sienna Keith (Sr.), Emily Offutt (Jr.), June Rectenwald (Jr.), Annika Carlson (Jr.)

Coach Anderson's Outlook: The five girls - Ema, Sienna, Emily, June, & Annika - are all very experienced varsity runners. They have been in the mix for the top 7 each of the last two seasons. And they have all run in at least one State Meet. We are looking for some sophomores to step in and fill the remaining top seven spots.  There is always the unknown of who will show up on the first day of practice. Each of the last several years we had at least one girl show up who had not trained with us in the summer and who made it into the top 7.

Mundelein (Carmel)

Coaches: Jim Halford / Lisa Halford, Ken Foy

Last Year's Finish: 22nd @ IHSA 2A State

Key Returners: Maya Markley (So.), Ashlyn Beattie (Sr.), Stephanie Johnson (So.), Chloe Bing (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Juliet Bing (Fr.)

Coach Halford's Outlook: Juliet Bing, a freshman, might be our best freshman/runner ever.  I believe she will run between 17:45-18:10.  The summer for the top five has gone quite well as all five are very dedicated.  I believe Stephanie Johnson could have a big year.  She has been getting better after her first two seasons (XC and Track).  Our girls have been moved to 3A, so our goals have changed.  We hope to qualify for sectionals, but we are a school of 1089 students running against some of the biggest schools in the state.

Plainfield South

Coaches: Jim O'Connell / Alex Kistinger

Last Year's Finish: 10th @ 3A Minooka Regional

Key Returners: Alex Sinclair (Sr.), Addie Oster (Sr.), Hannah Maczek (So.), Maddy Fish (Jr.), Micayla Cory (So.), Olivia Hillyer (So.)

Key Newcomers: Grace Fink (Fr.), Elisa Oceguera (Fr.), Fiona Guiterez (Fr.), Abby Kovacs (So.)

Unexpected Losses: Kenzie Bergman (Jr.), Alyssa Zuniga (So.), Yazbeth Santos (Jr.)

Coach O'Connell's Outlook: We are a young team and there is not denying that. Our team consists of 10 sophomores and we only have 15 runners total on the team right now. We are down this year in numbers due to the emergence of flag football at our school. I believe that we will gain a few runners when we start the school year. Similar to our track program, the youth of this team is going to really take large steps into becoming one of the top programs in the conference. We haven’t made it to sectionals in five years and I believe that will change this year for our program.

Orland Park (Sandburg)

Coaches: Tony Pena / Janine Wilkins, Bridget Driscoll, Elizabeth Venezio

Last Year's Finish: 9th @ 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional

Key Returners: Emma Kanagy (Sr.), Kelli Ellis (Sr.), Annika Trehan (Jr.), Emily Sayger (Jr.), Lyla Schanz (Jr.), Angelina Arroyo (Jr.), Isabella Van Alst (Jr.), Katie Bordelon (Jr.)

Coach Pena's Outlook: We have a highly motivated group. They worked incredibly hard and saw tremendous improvement in the fall of 2024. This propelled them to a great track and field season where we advanced our 4x800m relay to the ISHA state meet.  As these girls joined our program over the past couple of years, we noticed they were all inexperienced as distance runners, however we also noticed they were fast and dynamic. Now that we've had them in our program for a few years their talent has begun to manifest. As a result, I do not want to put a ceiling on this group.

Libertyville

Coaches: Annemarie Sampson / Meg Lavery, Nick Korhumel, Jorge Colin

Last Year's Finish: 17th @ 3A Hoffman Estates Sectional

Key Returners: Elsie Colin (So.), Julia Garrison (Jr.), Sophia Krummick (Sr.), Violet Young (Jr.). McKenzie Rihm (Sr.), Corinne Kalvass (So.), Savanna Joyce (So.)

Key Newcomers: Isabelle Karl-Garcia (Fr.)

Coach Sampson's Outlook: Coming off a strong 2024 season with a successful conference and regional performance, followed by a softer finish at the sectionals, we are energized and motivated to excel in the postseason and showcase our full potential. The 2025 track season was a journey of growth, marked by both disappointments and valuable lessons. Our athletes came into summer training ready to work hard, have fun, and foster a team culture where every girl feels seen, heard, and encouraged to perform at her best. Summer running has gone well. Athletes are running around 25 to 35 miles a week and have added in 2 days of strength training, plyometrics, and 2 days of mobility. We are committed to continuous improvement, focusing on building strength and mobility while experimenting with workouts that enhance performance and support optimal recovery. We look forward to the opportunities ahead and to seeing our team thrive in the postseason.

Buffalo Grove

Coaches: Danielle Freeman / Corinne Ginder

Last Year's Finish: 10th @ 3A Hoffman Estates Sectional

Key Returners: Taylor Sipiera (Jr.), Dagmar Alonso (So.), Arianna Pozniak (Jr.), Alex Bielski (Jr.), Soraya Banerjee (So.), Lily Nelson (So.), Kathy Gonzalez (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Riley Anderson (Fr.)

Coach Freeman's Outlook: I see Taylor and Dagmar making runs at All-Conference finishes in October.  I would love to say I would hope to see us advance out of our Regional, on to Sectionals but we might be one year short of that goal right now.  I believe Dagmar and Taylor can qualify as individuals for Sectionals.

Park Ridge (Maine South)

Coaches: Jeff Downing / Kathleen Durkin

Last Year's Finish: 21st @ IHSA 3A State

Key Returners: Tessie Bradley (Jr.), Abby Seurynck (So.), Isla Craig-Naples (Jr.), Sarah Mendoza (Jr.), Lucia Fuentes (Sr.), Jill Ethcason (Jr.), Sophia Iniguez (Jr.), Bea Conroy (So.), Lilly Handley (Jr.), Alana Ciancio (Sr.), Emma Fuentes (So.), Avery Udzielak (So.)

Coach Downing's Outlook: We have 12 returning from last year's team that made it to state.  Even though we lost only two, replacing the Arcuri twins will be a challenge.  Sofia was always there as our # 1 runner and that means that our pack will have to be even better this year. Tessie Bradley (last year # 2) has had a great summer and in theory will be out front of the rest of our pack. Our pack needs to be closer to Bradley to ensure our competitiveness in big invites and the State series. Abby Seurnyck had a breakout race at the Sectional last season, which gave us the cushion to qualify to State.  We expect her to lead the rest of our pack (Craig-Naples, Mendoza, Fuentes, Handley, Iniguez, Etchason, etc.). And then, every season bring us a few surprises of runners that help us with the depth to make a strong run at the end.

Chicago (Jones)

Coaches: Max Crowninshield / Picasso Russell, Jaclyn Borrowman, Kimari Lewis

Last Year's Finish: 15th @ 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional

Key Returners: Frida Sofia-Gallick (So.), Helena Smith-Donald (Jr.), Clara Burandt (Jr.), Allison Banegas (So.), Elise Ankony (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Mariella Herman (Fr.), Ella Tucker (Fr.)

Coach Crowninshield's Outlook: This year will be a strong rebuilding year for this team. We graduated a lot of talent and some girls who were big parts of the team here, so now it will be up to this new group to take the reins and make this team what they want it to be. I am excited to see how far we can take it since we have a lot of new talent that I am excited to see grow.

Hoffman Estates (Conant)

Coaches: Kalli Dalton

Last Year's Finish: 7th @ 3A Palatine Regional

Key Returners: Lily Schaefers (So.), Megan Schaefers (So.), Amanda Albrecht (Sr.), Kathryn Bjorklund (So.), Cordi Bilos (Jr.), Priya Sundara (So.), Marysia Salabaj (Sr.), Hayley Park (So.), Charlotte Kattner (Jr.)

Coach Dalton's Outlook: We’re excited to kick off the season with a team that’s heavy on sophomores—an enthusiastic group that’s already showing they can work hard and handle themselves with maturity. Many of our athletes made the most of summer camp, and we’re looking forward to seeing their dedication pay off in competition. While we’re a young team overall, our upperclassmen bring valuable experience and leadership that help set the tone for the season. With this strong mix of potential and guidance, we’re ready to take on the season with confidence and determination.

Rock Island

Coaches: Susana Williams / Matthew Yeager

Last Year's Finish: 5th @ 3A Minooka Regional

Key Returners: Ulana Richey (Sr.), Amelia Heine (Jr.), Samanta Amaya (Jr.), Sonia Williams (Jr.), Sydnee Mosely (Jr.), Lucille Mass (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Ariana Williams (Fr.), Claire Gustafson (Fr.)

Coach Williams' Outlook: Dedication and leadership within the girls' this summer showed how they took charge of their summer training. They are self motivated and excited for their season. The environment is all about empowering and encouraging each other to show up and put in the work in a positive fun environment. We are excited about a big team as it grows but also about being competitive.

Hoffman Estates

Coaches: Matthew Ihms / Madison Rickey

Last Year's Finish: 11th @ 3A Hoffman Estates Sectional

Key Returners: Maya Zabiegly (Sr.), Ella Macnider (Jr.), Molly Bell (Jr.), Aleksandra Wojick (Sr.), Layla Santiago (Sr.), Yuli Yaremko (Sr.)

Coach Ihms' Outlook: I don’t have a lot to say.  Our summer was decent.  We worked our asses off, had a good workouts, got the miles in, and everything we’re doing is to prepare for the state meet. Everything is preparation for that.  I have to make sure I do my job and help keep the girls locked in and focused on the important things.  This particular team is physically stronger than any team that we have had in a long time.  This is the strongest team I have had in my seven seasons as head coach.

McHenry

Coaches: Kevin Horst / Kristen Karnick, Dean Roehrborn

Last Year's Finish: 9th @ 3A Warren Regional

Key Returners: Delaina Floden (Jr.), Hailey Townsend (Jr.), Lexi Danz (Jr.), Jamie Fernandez (So.)

Key Newcomers: Kennedy Harding (Fr.), Grace Betts (Fr.), Olivia Schiman (Fr.), Ebony Vasquez (Fr.)

Coach Horst's Outlook: The Warriors are trending up this season with an influx of motivated new runners. The summer can be described as a small core group that has done an excellent job. I hope we have two under 19 minutes and the rest of the top 5 under 20. Despite the anticipated inprovement, we hope to be even better in 2026.

DeKalb

Coaches: Mike Wolf / Mike Franckowiak

Last Year's Finish: 15th @ 3A Lake Park Sectional

Key Returners: Alex Schwantes (Jr.), Maret Siblik (Sr.), Alina Arguello (So.) Sam Vander Bleek (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Becca Trotter (Fr.), Bri Hueramo (Fr.)

Coach Wolf's Outlook: We have a strong leader in Alex Schwantes who just missed qualifying individually out of the Lake Park Sectional.  I believe we will have a closer pack this year with a number of girls training at a higher level than in the past.

Lockport

Coaches: Juliana Rutz / Alyssa Mane, Taylor Herschbach

Last Year's Finish: 8th @ 3A Normal Community Sectional

Key Returners: Katie Peetz (Jr.), Gracie Kane (So.), Grace Seibt (Sr.), Veronica Skibicki (Jr.), Giana Maloney (So.), Miranda Powley (Jr.), Yaretzi Delgado (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Sadie Eissing (Fr.)

Coach Rutz's Outlook: While we do have a handful of new and returning upperclassmen on the team, we are going to be made up of predominantly younger athletes. This summer was really focused on mileage based running, to ensure that our athletes are ready to increase their distances, while maintaining a consistent pace. Athletes like Katie Peetz and Gracie Kane could definitely make a run for state– and I would love for the team to follow.

Plainfield Central

Coaches: Jeff Purdom / Kyle Draghi

Last Year's Finish: 9th @ 3A Minooka Regional

Key Returners: Brooke Rochacz (So.), Sam Norville (Jr.), Sophie Salkas (Jr.), Nessa Rodriguez (So.), Emily Fannin (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Poppy Hohman (Fr.)

Coach Purdom's Outlook: We are a very young team this year. Brooke Rochacz should be our leader, she had some big breakthroughs last year as a freshman, and will be looking to continue with that success. The story for the rest of the team should be the pack, Sam Norville has stepped up as a strong 2nd runner, but she should be in a close pack everyday (N Rodriguez, P Hohmen, S Salkas, E Fannin). The success of the team will be built in the power of the pack.

Rockton (Hononegah)

Coaches: Tim Wiltshire

Last Year's Finish: 16th @ 3A Lake Park Sectional

Key Returners: Kylie Simpson (Sr.), Sophia Frommer (Jr.), Gia Fraley (Sr.), Averi Bronnimann (Sr.), Salem Rauh (Sr.), Layla Buckley (Sr.), Chidiuto Ezeani (Jr.), Kiana Saulters (Jr.)

Key Newcomers: Lucinda Hodges (So.), Madison DeLong (Fr.), Gabrielle Greving (Fr.), Reese Andrews (Fr.)

Coach Wiltshire's Outlook: Our distance runners are coming off a strong track season last spring with a lot of improvement that I'm excited to see carry over into cross country.  Summer running was strong and the season should be even stronger with everyone training together.  We return most of our varsity runners from last year and add several talented newcomers, so this should be a much deeper team than the last couple of years.  Our 3-7 could be within a minute of each other this year.

Riverside-Brookfield

Coaches: Blair Jensen / Lillian Holubek, Liza Guzman

Last Year's Finish: 8th @ 3A Lyons Regional

Key Returners: Adeline Vaia (Sr.), Rebecca Dosek (Sr.), Elsie Clark (So.), Julia Daniels (So.), Anabel Olesiak (So.)

Key Newcomers: Elia Bursua (Fr.), Natalie Moran (Fr.)

Coach Jensen's Outlook: Seniors are working hard and leading well,  sophomores that want to continue their progress from last year, and we have a great group of freshmen girls that are close friends and will contribute to the team right away. The season looks promising and we plan on being competitive.

Burlington Central

Coaches: Vince Neil / Dan Morgan

Last Year's Finish: 8th @ 2A Kaneland Sectional

Key Returners: Emie Davis (Sr.), Callie Pflug (So.), Julia Haacker (So.), Val Klassy (So.), Lydia Rickard (Jr.), Liz Alvarez (Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Addison Davis (Fr.), Hailey Romano (Fr.)

Coach Neil's Outlook: We are a very young team that will lean heavily on the leadership of Emie Davis.  She will be vitally important to keeping the girls racing together as a group and keeping the young ladies accountable with their training.  We plan to continue to improve this fall and be at the top of our game during the most important phase of the season.

Moline

Coaches: Tauwon Taylor / Jill Iams, Jenna Adams

Last Year's Finish: 11th @ 3A Normal Community Sectional

Key Returners: Karen Martinez Hernandez (Sr.), Annabel Paquette (So.), Ellis Schilb (So.), Jazlynn Cervantes (So.), Maya Traore (So.), Hawa Habona (So.)

Key Newcomers: Karolyn Martinez Hernandez (Fr.), Maisy VanVooren (Fr.)

Coach Taylor's Outlook: Our summer training went well for those that put in the work.  We had our core group from last season stay consistent, and two incoming freshman girls stepped up and logged miles as well.  The key to our success this season will be finding a dependable and consistent fifth runner.  If we can solidify that spot, we’ll not only improve - we’ll surpass what we accomplished last year.  Our squad will be led by Karen Martinez Hernandez and Annabel Paquette, who both had a strong summer of base training and are ready to set the tone for the team.

Lombard (Glenbard East)

Coaches: Christopher Pietsch / Andy Adduci, Alberto Guevara, Ken Lakowski

Last Year's Finish: 9th @ 3A Lyons Sectional

Key Returners: Teigan O'Donnell (So.), Kathleen Nevels (Sr.), Evelynne Barry (Jr.), Sophie DeMarchi (Jr.), Melina Torres (Sr.), Charlotte Kemerling (So.)

Key Newcomers: Ava Ihms (Fr.), Elizabeth Panglinan (Fr.)

Coach Pietsch's Outlook: Our goals are to best the best people, students, and athletes they can be, setting PRs/Personal Records compared to their times on the same courses from last year

Oswego East

Coaches: Lisa Cook / Steve Ideran

Last Year's Finish: 24th @ IHSA 3A State

Key Returners: Morgan Haswell (Jr.), Mariana Ocon (So.), Audrey Cheney (So.), Avery Beedles (Jr.), Sreenithie Saravana Perumal (So.), Isabelle Sharer (So.)

Key Newcomers: Kaylee Thatcher (Fr.), Danielle Schmidt (Fr.), Alexis Fisher (Fr.)

Coach Cook's Outlook: We hope to continue building our program with a positive team culture and seeking to get the most out of our runners in both daily practices and races throughout the season.  We have a lot of unknowns going into the season, but with that comes a lot of opportunities for our next group of leaders to step up and for this group to come together to accomplish the goals that they set.
