The March Madness Invite Looks To Provide Opportunity For Youth Runners

Palatine Pack has done an amazing job in elevating the standard for junior high athletes with both their amazing training group and their fantastically ran meets. For the first time they venture away from Rolling Meadows Indoor 150m facility for their indoor hosted meets to the Huntley Indoor 200m facility. The deadline to enter this meet is this Thursday February 27th, 2025. You will not want to miss the opportunity to compete here. Here is the meet information.

  March Madness Youth Meet 

Sunday,  March 2nd, 2025

Location: Huntley High School Field House

 

Entries:

  1. All entries must be completed online at palatinepack.com or Athletic.net

  2. Individual athletes must create a profile in order to register.

  3. $10 per entry (Maximum 3 events per athlete) 

    1. $15 race day registration.

  4. Deadline is Thursday, February 27th @ 11:59 PM.  

  5. Please enter the athlete's best mark.

  6. There is a MAX CAP for entries.  Enter early before entries get cut off!

  7. Unlimited  relays will be allowed per club. Seeded by age group and gender. 

 

Surfaces: Track is a 6 lane, 200 meter Mondo surface.  Up to ¼ pyramid spikes only

Long and Triple Jump is also IAAF approved for up to ¼ pyramid spikes.

High Jump will be on the rubber courts.  Tennis shoes only.

Shot Put is from a Polanik platform.  Throwing shoes or tennis shoes


Coaches: Meeting in the field house classroom @ 9:00  A.M.


Scoring: No team scoring this meet. 


Location: Huntley High School field house will be open @8:00 A.M.


Teams: Open to all teams and any individuals who would like to compete unattached. 

 

Divisions: Youth (2nd grade and under CAN ONLY COMPETE IN 60 AND 800

              Elementary (3rd-5th grade)  & Middle School (6th - 8th grade)

 

Awards: Individual and Relay Medals for 1st place finishers. 

Individual and Relay ribbons  for 2nd and 3rd  place finishers.

Equipment: We will provide starting blocks.  No personal blocks allowed.   Teams are

responsible for providing throwing implements, and batons. 


Admissions: Free 


Concessions:Will be open, No food in fieldhouse and only water allowed in


Team Camps:Will be directed to one of the gyms, please NO CAMPS IN THE FIELDHOUSE.


Field Events (9:30):

Starting at 10:30, we will use a rolling schedule. Events will run in order, Girls Youth, Boys Youth, Girls Elementary, Boys Elementary, Girls Middle School, Boys Middle School. Will combine heats when possible. 

Running Events (10:30):


8:00 Fieldhouse open to teams

9:00 Coaches meeting in the field house

9:30 All Field Events

10:30 60m Hurdles (6th - 8th grade only)

3200  

60m Dash  

800m Run 

200m Dash 

1600m Run  

4 x 400m Relay

Long Jump:   2 Pits will be used

Girls will be on  east runway

Boys will be on south runway 

Middle School will go first followed by elementary 

4 jumps, 10 min warm up between flights 


High Jump:   Boys will go first 

followed by girls 

Shot Put:   4 throws, all age groups and genders will go together 

Will flight if necessary
