Illinois Running News Hires Noelan Tossing and Jackson Summy

We have now eclipsed 13 months of Illinois Running News being launched and what a great 13 months it has been for the site. Our X account is now over 2.6k followers and our instagram is over 6.8k followers. In that time the website has also produced 400 articles and hundreds of hours of videos. We produced free live streams for mutliple meets this summer and Distance Night In Palatine. No doubt Illinois Running News is the fastest growing Illinois Cross Country and Track & Field platform in the State.

With growth of the site means increased needs of help. Thats why i am proud to announce the hirings of Noelan Tossing and Jackson Summy to the Illinois Running News team. These two were part of our 2025 Track & Field Internship Program and excelled greatly. They are two of hardest working individuals that i have ever met and are vitial to the growth of the sports of Cross Country and Track & Field in the State.

Noelan Tossing is a incoming senior at Deerfield and has provided some of the best photos that Illinois Running News has had to offer this season. His photos and interviews have graced the site throughout the entire season as Noelan attended the second most meets in the Illinois Running News network. His passion for the sport is obvious in his work as he has built amazing connections with people throughout the state. Noelan has also spearheaded our live stream system as he has been the mastermind behind design of graphics and more for it. Noelan will be joining us starting in the fall in charge of providing photos and videos for the website as a contributor and heading our live stream department.

Jackson Summy is an incoming freshman to Grand Valley State University this fall. Jackson has been amazing in our writing department and has produced some of the best articles on the site to date. Jackson was also the play by play announcer for us at Distance Night In Palatine. Jackson will be joining the staff this fall as our Boys 1A and Boys 2A Rankings Editor!

Excited for this upcoming season and welcome again to Noelan and Jackson!
