Illinois Indoor Championships Is Coming

The Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center has been a hot bed of pre-season track races for high school and middle school over the past few years. The one thing that it hasn't held a whole lot of is in-season track meets that is available to the masses. This changes this year with the Illinois Indoor Championships Sponsored By Under Armor. The mission statement is simple "ONE CLASS. ONE GOAL. ONE STAGE. For the first time ever, the best athletes from across the state will come together to compete, regardless of class. No divisions, no limits-just raw talent battling it out on Illinois' premier indoor stage." says Jeff Bryant who is the Meet Manager of the CYUP Misfits Invite sponsored by HOKA. He is also the Meet manager of this High School portion of invite. There will also be an Illinois Indoor Elementary Championships the following day which will be put on by Meet Manager Craig Collins and will provide a main stage for our Junior High Athletes. More information about the Middle School meet will be out soon, but in the meantime here is the High School format!

MEET INFO

Registration for the meet will close at 7:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025. No late entries will be accepted under any circumstances. Selected athletes will be notified via email by 9:00 PM on March 23, 2025. Waitlisted athletes will also be notified at that time. Athletes and coaches will have until 9:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2025, to declare and pay for their spot. The entry fee for the meet is $25 per event and $60 per relay. Selected athletes must declare and pay by 9:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2025. Failure to declare and pay by this deadline will result in forfeiture of the athlete's spot, which will then be offered to a waitlisted athletes.

Marks will be put through the USATFCCCA Conversion Chart to account for any Banked track conversions. Undersized tracks will not be converted to be faster.

For people asking if they will need an IHSA waiver don't you worry. This meet is sponsored by Lane Tech High School and is an IHSA sanctioned contest that will not count towards your 18 team meets and instead your athletes 21 individual meets.
