2027 CYUP Misfits Invite Expands To A Two Day Format
The CYUP Misfits Invite Presented By Tracksmith is getting even bigger for its next edition, as the premier indoor track and field meet has announced that it will move to a two-day format. The expansion comes as the Misfits Invite continues to grow into one of the Nation's premier indoor track and field events. Hosted by CYUP Training at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track at Gately Center in Chicago, the meet has built a reputation for bringing together some of the top athletes in the region while also providing opportunities for athletes of all levels to compete in unique events. Moving to two days will allow the meet to accommodate an even larger and deeper field while creating more opportunities for athletes to compete in a high-quality environment. The finalized event schedule and additional meet details will be released soon. The Misfits Invite has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated meets of the indoor season. Previous editions have featured elite competition and produced a National Record, multiple U.S. No. 1 performances and more than 70 Illinois No. 1 marks. The meet's unique event lineup, including the 300m, 600m and 1000m, gives athletes an opportunity to step outside their traditional events and test themselves against high-level competition.
For this year's event, Illinois Running News will play an even larger role in bringing the CYUP Misfits Invite to athletes, coaches and fans across Illinois and beyond. Illinois Running News will provide the live stream for this year's meet, giving fans who cannot attend in person the opportunity to follow the action from anywhere.
In addition to the live stream, Illinois Running News will provide extensive promotional coverage, photography and video content throughout the event. From pre-meet promotion leading into the competition to coverage of the biggest performances once the action begins, Illinois Running News will help showcase the athletes and teams competing at Misfits. The expanded media coverage will give athletes an opportunity to have their performances highlighted while giving fans a closer look at one of the biggest indoor meets on the Illinois calendar. With the meet moving to a two-day format and Illinois Running News expanding its coverage, this year's CYUP Misfits Invite Presented By Tracksmith is shaping up to be the biggest edition yet. More information, including the finalized schedule and additional meet details, will be released as they become available.
